The risk in being the person who understands procurement, compliance and IT at once is becoming the bottleneck. The more useful long-term position is teaching people to think systemically, question assumptions and build solutions — so the capability stays when the project ends.

This is the direction the work is moving: from solving problems, to building systems that solve them, to building organisations that can do both.

"What is the actual problem — not the symptom?"
